Kathy Cotter has been a Provincetown resident for over 30 years and a frequent visitor before that. She has always been drawn to Provincetown for its natural beauty and idyllic setting.
Kathy is an accomplished chef and pastry chef, but over the last five years has decided to use her creative energies in a different medium - ART. This transition is a natural one for Kathy since both are about composition, color, and presentation.
In her painting, as in cooking, Kathy continues to learn every day, taking a class whenever possible from accomplished local artists, such as Cynthia Packard and Bobby Cardinal. Her works include oil on board, collage, mixed media, and encaustics.
Kathy has shown her works at Schoolhouse Gallery design store, Seamens Bank [artist of the month], Front Street Restaurant, FAWC, and Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Kiley Court Gallery, and Dowd Properties [Somerville, MA].
Currently her work can be seen at Front Street Restaurant and the Larkin Gallery in Provincetown, and the Post Office Gallery in North Truro, MA.
